Welcome to P.S. 169M
We are proud to be a diverse and inclusive learning community where students are supported to grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Our dedicated staff works closely with families to ensure every child feels valued and inspired to reach their full potential. Together, we strive to create a nurturing and engaging environment where learning thrives.
Our Vision and Mission
At P169M, we will promote a highly engaging and nurturing environment that will lend itself to personal and academic growth throughout the school community. We believe that through ongoing collaboration between the student body, staff, families and the broader school community, students will be able to engage in curriculum and projects that foster the social emotional growth and academic rigor necessary to become compassionate and successful members of our society.

For students with very high needs in most or all areas including academic, social and/or interpersonal development, physical development, and management. Classes provide highly intensive individual programming, continual adult supervision, a specialized behavior management program to engage in all tasks, and a program of speech/language therapy (which may include augmentative/alternative communication).

For students whose needs are severe and/or chronic and require constant, intensive supervision, a significant degree of individualized attention, intervention and behavior management.

For students with academic and/or behavioral management needs that interfere with the instructional process and require additional adult support and specialized instruction.

Inclusion & SETSS
District 75 Special Education Inclusive Services allows students with disabilities to access the general education curriculum in their least restrictive environment. Students receiving these services are fully included in all District 1-32 school classes, programs, and activities (including after-school events and other school-sponsored activities).
